Rod Travers
Senior Vice President
Technology
As Senior Vice President of Technology, Rod works with Nolan clients
and consultants to identify and analyze automation opportunities as
part of our clients’ operations improvement initiatives. Examples
include applying business process management systems; developing an
enterprise automation blueprint, including evaluation of existing
systems with recommendations for improvement and/or replacement;
developing e-business strategies; imaging and workflow
implementations; and conducting vendor search and assessment
projects. Rod has a track record of demystifying technology and
bringing practical, real-world ideas to the table. His emphasis is
in bridging the gap between business and IT. In addition to his
work with Nolan clients, Rod is also the Nolan Company’s liaison to
industry technology vendors, and he manages the Nolan Company's
information systems unit.

Rod currently serves on the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association
(IASA) Technology Committee, and is a regular speaker at industry
conferences. In 2002, Rod spoke at the LIMRA Client Management
Conference and the LOMA Emerging Technology Conference. In 2003, Rod spoke at the NAII IT
Conference and the ISOTech Insurance and Technology Conference, and
spoke at the IASA Annual Conference
in 2005, 2004 and 2002.
Rod has been published in CIO Magazine, IASA Interpreter, and
Computerworld Executive Suite, and has provided expert opinion for articles in
TechDecisions Magazine, Insurance & Technology Magazine, and
Intelligent Enterprise. Rod serves on the Consultant Advisory Board for
Insurance & Technology Magazine, and he serves on the IASA Technology Committee. Rod co-authors Nolan’s insurance technology industry studies which are published periodically. |
