January 25, 2004: NAII Executive Roundtable Seminar
Nolan Chairman Ben DiSylvester led an executive
roundtable discussion on Tuesday, January 27 at 10 am.
He discussed "Technology: The Delicate Balance Between Cost and
Benefit." Please note that in January NAII changed its name
due to a merger. The new association is named PCI.
March 1-3, 2004: LOMA Customer Service Conference
Nolan
Chairman Ben DiSylvester presented a case study on contact center best practices in insurance. The LOMA
Customer Service Conference is an event focused on how to keep customers for life.
April 14-16, 2004: NAMIC Personal Lines Underwriting/Marketing
Seminar
Nolan was a sponsor of this year's event in Chicago and provided the delegate
binders for the 150 seminar attendees. Also, Nolan Chairman Ben
DiSylvester sat on the executive panel discussing what agents need -
from a new perspective.
April 25-28, 2004: AMIfs and BAI Joint Annual Conference
Nolan President Bob Grasing led session participants in an interactive analysis of their bank's
performance by line of business. Nolan was a sponsor of this event, providing badge lanyards to all
attendees.
May 23-25, 2004: ACORD LOMA Insurance Systems Forum
Nolan
was a silver sponsor of this year's inaugural event and
presented 2,200 attendees with a stainless steel travel mug.
June 6-9, 2004: IASA Educational Conference & Business Show
Nolan enjoyed
being a part of this event in Las Vegas, the largest
educational forum exclusively for insurance, financial and technology
professionals. Nolan's SVP of Technology Rod Travers, spoke about Business Process
Management (BPM) in the technology
track.
August 23, 2004: Horace Mann Golf Outing
Nolan sponsored a tournament hole and foursome at the 2004 client-hosted event that
was held in Springfield, IL. All proceeds from this event went to the American Red Cross.
September 13, 2004: Golf Classic benefiting the Lewisville Special Olympics
Nolan was pleased to sponsor the 10th Annual Golf Classic held at
the
Indian Creek Golf Club in Carrollton, TX. This sponsorship honored
Sarah Hunter, Nolan employee Scott Hunter's daughter. Sarah
won three gold medals in the swimming events at the fall Texas
Special Olympics!
September 19-22, 2004: NAMIC Annual Convention
The 109th NAMIC Annual Convention was held in
Washington D.C. at the Washington Hilton. Ben DiSylvester,
Chairman, led a session about the delicate balance between the cost
and benefit of technology.
October 27-28, 2004: LOMA Contact Center Workshop
The
fall LOMA Contact Center Workshop was held in Toronto,
Ontario. Dennis Sullivan, Nolan CEO, and Charles Wayland,
Anthem BCBS Executive Director, discussed contact center optimization,
including hints on how to maximize productivity and deliver excellent
service to customers.
November 10, 2004: Webinar
Achieving Operational Improvement—Leveraging BPM and Content
Management
In this webinar conducted by National Underwriter,
Nolan discussed business process management (BPM) and described what
successful insurers are doing to improve and automate core
operational processes by combining business requirements analysis,
process design automation and content management.
