Ben DiSylvester, Nolan Chairman, presented at the
"Benchmarking in Financial Services" conference
held in Las Vegas, Nevada. His presentation "Improving
Profitability Through Better Data" began at 10:00 a.m. on June
27, and was based on years of gathering, analyzing, and reporting benchmarking data for financial institutions,
and showed how financial institutions of $1 billion in assets or more can move their organization’s overall performance into the top quartile by improving performance in just a few key areas, including Information Technology.

USA (Ret.) who served as the United States' 65th Secretary of

May 22 at 2:15 p.m. with Nationwide Vice President
Mary Serian at the session "Underwriting Innovation:
A Long-term Success Story." In this session, Mary
Serian spoke to the audience about how Nationwide

underwriting process and automation, and the successful
program which cut underwriting turnaround in half, saved
$7 million in the first two years, and implemented an
innovative underwriting desktop system.

on May 10 in Orlando, Florida. Murphy's presentation identified
the challenges of achieving service center excellence. Workforce

inherent tools to offer excellent low-cost service, and how
to measure the results was also discussed.
