NOLAN OFFERS TACTICS TO PREPARE FOR MASSIVE CHANGE
DALLAS—(Business Wire) —The Robert E. Nolan Company, a management consulting firm specialized in serving health plans, will present an innovative management model that helps organizations prepare for the massive change that will be driven by the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The session will be co-presented with Richard Jones, CEO of Lumeris (Essence Health Care) who will share his real-world experiences in adapting and thriving amidst massive change. The presentation will be given at the AHIP 2011 Medicaid Conference, September 14-15, 2011 in Washington, DC.
Health care reform has brought over 270 regulations, and counting.
“Every plan struggles to anticipate and respond to these changes,
meanwhile the complexity of potential changes evolves and expands,
even before plans can take action,” says Scot McConkey, senior vice
president of Nolan’s health care practice.
Nolan’s session at the AHIP Medicaid Conference takes place at 8:00
a.m. on Wednesday, September 14 at the Capital Hilton. The program
will introduce a straightforward method that health plans can use to
position for massive change using process baselines and a process
maturity model to specify risks and opportunities. Attendees will
learn how health plan leaders are using these techniques to solve
the complexity challenge and bring action and momentum from chaos.
“We
are pleased to be a part of AHIP’s Medicare and Medicaid Annual
Conferences” said Merit Smith, Nolan vice president. “We look
forward to a lively session which will help attendees get their arms
around reform planning and implementation.”
